It can be reached from The Sea Pines Traffic Circle off Highway 278 and at the intersection of Cordillo Parkway and South Forest Beach Drive. Sea Pines features over 5,000 acres and was the first development on Hilton Head Island. It is also the largest of the gated communities. Approximately 1,300 acres are devoted to parks, forest preserves, lagoons, and marshlands. With activities for everyone, Sea Pines offers golf, water sports, horseback riding, boating, fishing, walking and biking paths and retail and restaurant areas. Homes, villas and homesites can be found with beach, water, marsh, lagoon, woodland, and golf views. Short-term rentals are allowed in Sea Pines.
